Josh began his career in geotechnical engineering, gaining hands-on experience in investigative drilling and soil testing. He later joined SMEC Australia as a structural engineer, focusing on bridge design and highway infrastructure. During his time there, he contributed to major projects including Western Sydney Airport, Hexham Straight Widening, and the Mt Ousley Interchange, where he led several structural design packages and supported others.

Beyond project work, Josh played a key role in SMEC’s NSW graduate development program and served as the design site representative on the SSTOM rail project, providing critical input during metro station construction. In mid-2025, Josh joined the Project X team of engineeers, where he continues to apply his combined expertise in structural and geotechnical engineering across a range of complex projects.
